From a young age, she faced challenges as an amputee but did not let that deter her pursuit of health and fitness. Sports became a vital connection to her peers and a source of confidence. She began her athletic journey with soccer and baseball, actively participating throughout high school and college.
Now a mother of two daughters, ages 10 and 7, she balances her roles as a teacher, model, author, speaker, and book editor while prioritizing fitness. Inspired by her children, she aims to be a health role model. She created a personal gym at home, allowing her to engage in strength training, yoga, and cardio, providing fitness and stress relief.
Today, she represents Team USA in the Para Triathlon at the Paralympic Games and also trains for tennis. The pride from her training drives her to inspire those around her. Engaging in sports with her children brings her joy and helps pass on her passion for fitness to the next generation.
